Happy Thanksgiving! November is my favorite month; and not just because it’s my birthday month. It’s my favorite month of the year because of the reminder it brings to have an attitude of gratitude. I also love the act of coming together to share a meal at Thanksgiving, whether that’s with family or friends. I enjoy that it is a holiday to get together, but it is one of the only ones that hasn’t been highly commercialized into some type of gift giving or spending money (other than on the food). To me, it is fairly low stress and I look forward to it every year. I understand that many don’t view Thanksgiving as a positive thing and that there is a simultaneous National Day of Mourning. I also understand that some people don’t have good experiences with any holidays. However, I believe there’s room for all of this – to recognize the truths behind the holiday, to recognize any trauma related to holidays, and to take the opportunity to be grateful for it all. I personally will take any reminder to be grateful for all that I have, and the whole month of November is that reminder for me.
That’s why I’m really kicking off the unveiling of Life With Training Wheels – where I help people who are feeling stuck, are struggling, or are just generally ready for a transformation – physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually – to shed any limiting beliefs, victim mentality, and regain their personal power through transformational nutrition coaching, astrology, tarot and other alternative health and spiritual practices. And one of the best places to begin any transformation is through adopting and implementing a practice of gratitude.
So, ask yourself – are you feeling stuck in any area of life? Do you wish you had more abundance – of money, of love, of confidence, of health, or of anything else? One of the best places to start improving any area of life and to begin transformation is to adopt an attitude of gratitude. Implementing gratitude journaling into your routine is one of the best ways to do that. Below you will find a list of some of the most popular and most inspiring (in my opinion) gratitude journals for men, women, and children to help you start this practice. If you aren’t ready to commit to a full journal, at the end you’ll also find a free printable that I created. Why wait? Give adopting an “Attitude of Gratitude” a try today!!
Best Gratitude Journals for Men
1. The Daily Gratitude Journal For Men
- 90 days of guided gratitude
- Easy for beginners
- Includes other mindfulness practices as well
What I like about this journal is that it is a gentle guide into the practice of gratitude. It has one or two page spreads for each day for 90 days and really gets you to think about mindset and to end the day contemplating what the best part of the day was. No matter how bad things are, you can always find the silver lining.
2. Gratitude Journal for Men
- 52 Week Guided Journal
- Daily writing prompts as well as monthly
- Challenges you to be better in all areas
If you think you are ready to commit to a more long term gratitude journey then this 52 week journal may be worth trying. One review from Amazon states “It’s not intimidating with regards to how much it asks of you with regards to entries. It has some cool exercises at different intervals which I feel make it a more immersive experience.”

3. Daily Glimmers Journal
If a standard “gratitude journal” is off-putting to you, this one might work better. It calls it looking for glimmers in the day. This journal is based on the polyvagal theory which emphasizes the role the autonomic nervous system – especially the vagus nerve – plays in regulating our health and behavior. The author describes this theory in an easily digestible way.
4. A Daily Dose of Gratitude Journal
This journal provides unprompted room to write down your daily gratitude, but then also sprinkles in questions and reflections to get you thinking more deeply about gratitude and the things you can be thankful for. It also focuses on acts of kindness.

5. My First Gratitude Journal
This is a great journal for the younger readers and writers. It provides the simple prompt: “Today I am grateful for…….because……” and then asks them to draw or write about something else that made them grateful. This is nice because even if they are not yet able to write a lot, they have space to draw what they are grateful for. Then it has activities like circling the animals you are grateful for, a checklist for what things you are grateful for outside, etc.
6. 5-Minute Gratitude Journal for Teen Boys
If the idea of having to come up with things you are grateful for every day is overwhelming, especially as a teen boy, this might be the right one for you. It doesn’t act so much as a journal to reflect on what you are grateful for that day, as it does provide daily guidance on what to be grateful for. Sometimes it doesn’t even mention “gratitude,” for example one day its asking you to reflect on your creativity. However, it is still getting one to focus on positive thinking and positive habits.
7. 5-Minute Gratitude Journal for Teen Girls
This journal is very similar to the one above for boys in that it’s not so much a blank journal but guided prompts every day to get you thinking. There are so many good things in this world to focus on, and this journal helps with that.

8. The 5 Minute Gratitude Journal
Even though all three of the above 5 Minute Gratitude Journals are written by different authors, they are all very similar. As an adult, if the idea of a blank page makes you feel overwhelmed, then this may be the journal for you to build your gratitude habit. Every day has different questions to focus on and answer, guiding you how to look for the things to be grateful for.
9. One Line A Day: A Five-Year Memory Book
This is more of a memory book and keepsake. You could use it as a gratitude journal, but it is also just somewhere to record something about every day. This could be used for parents to record things they want to remember about their kids that day, or just as a keepsake memory book. I love the idea of this one!
10. Tiny Buddha’s Gratitude Journal
This is kind of similar to the 5 Minute Gratitude Journals, however, none of the pages have dates on them, so it doesn’t make you feel guilty for missing days or anything. It’s more of like a workbook. Each page has a reflection at the top and a full page to write about it so it provides a little more room to go deeper into an answer. If you like this style, there are many other Tiny Buddha books also, such as an Inner Strength Journal, a Worry Journal, etc.
11. Clever Fox Gratitude Journal
This journal has a morning page, an evening reflection page, a weekly check-in and a monthly check in. It lasts about 3 months and does have space for your own gratitude, but also provides prompts. It comes in many color options. Similar to Tiny Buddha, this one comes in a series of journals: Self-Care Journal, Planner Pro, Positivity Journal, Prayer Journal, Mental Health & Anxiety Journal, Kids Journal, Couple’s Journal, Food Journal, Addiction Recovery Journal, Bucket List Journal, etc. There’s so much to explore with this series.
12. Free Downloadable Journal Pages
If you aren’t yet ready to commit to purchasing a full Gratitude Journal, you can download and print these gratitude journaling pages that I created. The first one has 4 different pages with a different quote at the top of each page and provides sections of Health, Nature & Surroundings, Relationships, Abundance/Weath, and Personal Growth for you to focus on. I feel like these topics cover most things in life and it’s a good practice to think of something in each category to be grateful for. It also has a spot to reflect on what the best thing about the day was. Ending your day focusing on the positive things in the day provides a better night sleep and makes waking up in an attitude of gratitude much easier.
The second page only has two pages with it. There is no guide – just different water color spots to record what you are thankful for.
Just provide your name and email address below to access these free printables. You can also access them from my shop page.
