Description

Join Life With Training Wheels for Veterans Day Craft Night on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 6:00–7:30 PM at Old 121 in Lakewood.

Choose your project: a patriotic terracotta flower pot or an unfinished wooden decoupage tray. Paint it, decoupage it, or combine techniques to make a project that is completely your own.

$35 per person. All craft supplies are included. Materials will include red, white and blue acrylic paints, Mod Podge, patriotic napkins, tissue paper and scrapbook paper, brushes, scissors, stencils and a selection of simple decorative embellishments. Drinks are available for separate purchase from the venue.

I’ll share links to different project ideas in the Facebook event leading up to craft night, so you can arrive with an idea in mind or simply come ready to experiment.

A personal note from Sara: My dad was a Vietnam Veteran. While we may not always agree with the wars our loved ones are engaged in, I think we can agree they deserve to be honored for putting their lives on the line in service to this country. The evening is offered in that spirit of gratitude, not as any political statement.

In that same spirit, I’ll also be preparing a small Veterans Day appreciation favor for veterans at Old 121 on November 10 and for the venue to share on Veterans Day, while supplies last.

Registration is limited to 25 participants. Please choose your project when purchasing your ticket and include a valid email address at checkout so I can send event information and updates.
